Red Sea Media gets in ring with 'Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre' for Cannes (exclusive)

By Jeremy Kay (SCREENDAILY)

Roman Kopelevich’s Los Angeles-based Red Sea Media heads to Cannes with worldwide rights to Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre staring Randy Couture.

Production is underway on the story of wrestling tag team brothers, now in their twilight years, who are relegated to smaller promotions and agree to a midnight cage match on Halloween.

What they don’t know is the contest involves being trapped in the arena with wrestlers and fans infected with a mutated form of rabies. Armed only with their wrestling skills and enchanted lucha libre masks, they must fight for their lives and ensure the virus is contained to prevent an all-out zombie massacre. Couture stars alongside DB Sweeney, Adrian Pasdar and David Meadows.

Crystal Hill Of Red Sea Media said, “Max has created his own zombie wrestling world. Part action, part zombie horror film and all fun.”

Max Martini added, “The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre is a balls-to-the-wall Zomedy brought to you by Max Martini and Michael Hagerty of Mona Vista Productions. Buckle up for 90 charged minutes of bites and bumps!”

Hill negotiated the deal on behalf of Red Sea Media with Michael Hagerty on behalf of the filmmakers.

Red Sea Media’s production slate includes creature feature Binarang based on Philippines mythology to be directed by Maritte Go; action thriller Concrete Jungle written by Alex Parslow; drama 9/11 My Love; and Squirrels which Kopelevich is producing with Timur Bekmambetov.
